The Tremors Live at Rancho Poco a Poco — A Night for the Ages
Some nights you know from the start are going to be something special. January 29th, 2025 was one of them.
Rancho Poco a Poco — a private estate just outside Sayulita in the Riviera Nayarit — opened its grounds for a one-of-a-kind live concert event that brought together some of the most celebrated musicians in rock history under one sky, surrounded by palms and the warm Nayarit night. The crowd felt it. The musicians felt it. And everyone who was there will carry it for a long time.
¡En vivo! Desde Rancho Poco a Poco — Miércoles 29 de Enero, 2025
The Tremors: A Supergroup, One Night Only
The headliner was The Tremors — a supergroup assembled specifically for this event, and by any measure one of the most remarkable lineups ever to take a stage in Sayulita. The band brought together:
- Peter DiStefano — guitarist and founding member of Porno for Pyros, the iconic Los Angeles rock band formed after Jane's Addiction
- Chris Hayden — drummer for Florence and the Machine, one of the most celebrated live drummers of his generation
- Zak Melang — frontman and guitarist of Supersonic Soul Pimps, Sayulita's own beloved rock institution
The name says it all — and they delivered exactly that. The set was electric, raw, and joyful, the kind of performance that only happens when world-class musicians decide to play purely for the love of it, in a place that feels a little outside the rules of ordinary life.
Los Gatos Negros de Sayulita
Los Gatos Negros de Sayulita opened the night and set the tone in the best possible way. Known for blending oldies charm with punk energy, they are one of Sayulita's most beloved live acts — a band with a loyal local following who showed up in full force. Their set was a reminder of what live music in a small Mexican town can feel like: loose, warm, and completely alive. Listen on Spotify →
Eléctrica Muchacha
After hours, Eléctrica Muchacha took the stage and delivered a set that felt like a journey — sweeping Latin rock, '80s-inflected atmospheres, and a vocalist who commanded the room completely. The Mexico City band brought a cinematic, emotional energy that was the perfect counterweight to the Tremors' raw intensity. A beautiful combination, and proof that the best lineups are the ones that surprise you. Listen on Spotify →
Código Tequila: Main Sponsor & Craft Tastings
Código 1530 Tequila was the main sponsor of the evening — and they showed up in style. A full tasting experience was set up in the Villa's commercial kitchen, featuring their lineup of Blanco, Rosa, Reposado, and Añejo expressions. Crystal glassware, charcuterie boards, and Código's signature presentation made it one of the most memorable tequila experiences the estate has ever hosted. Roy, Poco a Poco's property manager, crafted cocktails throughout the night that kept the crowd beautifully lubricated from dusk until midnight.
Food, Flavor & Community
No great night is complete without great food. Baby's Burgers and Dixon's BBQ provided the catering, keeping the crowd fed with exactly the kind of honest, satisfying food that a night like this calls for. The combination of craft cocktails, tequila tastings, live music, and smoky BBQ under the palms was — to put it simply — perfection.
VIP ticket holders enjoyed early access, premium tequila pours, and appetizers in a dedicated section with front-row views of the stage. Flash tattoos from No Se were available throughout the evening, ensuring a few guests took home a permanent reminder of the night.
What a Night Like This Says About This Place
Events like this don't happen everywhere. They happen at places with the right space, the right energy, and the right people behind them. Rancho Poco a Poco — with its one-acre grounds, professional-grade stage capacity, and a team that genuinely cares — is becoming known as one of the premier private event venues on the Riviera Nayarit. The estate can accommodate up to 250 guests for events, with overnight accommodations for 25 across the Hacienda, Villa, and Casona.
The Tremors concert was a landmark moment — but it was also a preview of what this estate can do when the right vision meets the right venue. We're proud to have been the home for a night this special, and grateful to every musician, sponsor, and guest who made it what it was.
Music wraps at midnight per local Sayulita guidelines — but the memories last considerably longer.
